If you are short on floor space but need reliable frozen storage, an under counter freezer is the perfect solution. Designed to slide neatly beneath your standard kitchen worktops, these compact appliances provide essential freezing capacity without cluttering your room. Explore our range of top-tier brands, including the highly efficient and space-saving HYE under counter freezer collection.
Why Choose a Built-Under Freezer?
Space Efficiency: By utilising the dead space beneath your worktops, you keep your valuable floor space free for dining tables or islands.
Aesthetic Flexibility: Choose a bold black or classic white freestanding model, or opt for an integrated freezer to maintain the unbroken, sleek lines of your fitted kitchen.
Energy Savings: Smaller internal capacities mean under-counter freezers generally consume less electricity than large, tall or chest models, keeping your household bills low.
Easy Access: No more bending over deep chests; everything is stored in easily accessible, slide-out compartments right at hip level.
Spotlight on HYE: Small Footprint, Big Performance
HYE excels at maximising internal storage within compact dimensions. Their under counter freezers are engineered to make the most of every square inch, ensuring you can pack away your weekly shop with ease.
Smart Drawer Design: HYE utilises robust, transparent plastic drawers so you can quickly locate your frozen peas or meal-prepped dinners without keeping the door open for too long.
Seamless Integrated Options: If you are fitting a new kitchen, HYE’s integrated under counter freezers come with heavy-duty hinges designed to easily bear the weight of your matching wooden cabinet doors.
Reversible Doors: Kitchen layouts can be tricky. HYE ensures maximum flexibility by including reversible door hinges, allowing your freezer to open from the left or right.
Quiet Compressors: Because under counter units are often located in the heart of the kitchen, HYE equips their models with low-decibel compressors, making them virtually silent.

An under counter freezer is incredibly versatile. It is the ideal primary freezer for smaller flats and apartments, or the perfect secondary unit for families who just need a bit of extra space for batch cooking and ice cream!

Under Counter Freezer FAQs
What is the difference between a freestanding and an integrated under counter freezer?
A freestanding under counter freezer is a finished unit that you simply slide into a gap under your worktop. An integrated freezer (or built-under freezer) does not have a finished front; it is designed specifically so you can attach a wooden kitchen cabinet door to it, hiding it completely from view.
Will an under counter freezer fit under my standard worktop?
Yes! Standard kitchen worktops sit at around 90cm high. The vast majority of our under counter freezers, including the HYE range, measure between 82cm and 85cm in height, giving them plenty of clearance to slide underneath.
Do built-under freezers need ventilation?
Yes. All refrigeration needs to expel hot air to work safely and efficiently. For integrated freezers, this usually means installing a small ventilation grille in the wooden plinth (kickboard) at the base of your cabinets to allow air to circulate the compressor.
